Short description of the program
The Symposium will start on 21st November 2021 with on-site registrations at Hotel Union Ljubljana, Slovenia. Reception desk for Symposium registrations will open where you’ll be able to check in and collect your gift bag with Symposium program and details of the events for the following 4 days.
Altough conference registration and payment is electronic, done via ConfTool, you will have to confirm your presence on the conference by phisically check in at reception desk where you will gete delegates badge and bag.
First day of the program starts with Study Committee Tutorials in Union’s conference halls. Later in the afternoon you will be able to attend a special panel on History and future of electricity where the speaker will be discussing the past, the present and the future of reshaping the power system.
In the evening you are invited to join Welcome Reception Cocktail where you will find plenty of opportunities for networking, socializing, and enjoying good Slovenian cuisine with other symposium attendees. This event also marks the Opening of EXPO Cigre Symposium 2021.
Second day starts with the Opening ceremony followed by technical sessions throughout the day. In the evening you are invited to join the Gala dinner with live music performance and mouth-watering Slovenian cuisine.
Third day continues with technical sessions and finishes the program with closing session in the late afternoon.
Fourth day starts with important Technical Tour, which offers two options, both about 100 km away from the capital of Ljubljana:
- Visit of the Nuclear Power Plant Krsko with lunch and wine tasting at the beautiful uphill restaurant with a view called “Tri lucke” in the southeastern part of Slovenia
- Visit of the Hydro Pump Storage Avče and famous wine cellar Dobrovo with excellent regional wine tasting and lunch
